See Our Work in Action

Some stories are best experienced, not just told. Through film, we bring our restoration projects and partnerships to life—capturing the challenges, the collaboration, and the lasting impact on our watersheds. Explore the collection below and see our work in action.

Tomorrow’s Catch: Securing Our Future Fisheries

Tomorrow’s Catch is a future-focused digital series that explores the next chapter of sustainable fisheries. Through short films and interviews, it unites 22 partner organizations and 10 expert voices. The series highlights the perspectives of coastal and inland communities, fisheries, scientists, Indigenous leaders, and industry experts—each sharing how their work is advancing environmental conservation, food security, and cultural heritage.

CRA’s contribution to Tomorrow’s Catch featured two short films—a short-form documentary and a thought-leadership interview—focused on our signature River Care program and the collaborative restoration work reshaping rivers and landscapes across northwest Michigan. The films spotlighted stream crossing improvements on the Crystal River—co-led and funded by longtime partners at the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians—and explored the power of dam removal in reconnecting ecosystems and strengthening community identity. By comparing the active Rugg Pond Dam removal project with the landmark Boardman-Ottaway River restoration, the films illustrated how River Care contributes to long-term Great Lakes resiliency.

Conservation through Partnerships: Sustain Our Great Lakes

CRA is proud to be featured in a film highlighting the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation’s Save Our Great Lakes (SOGL) Program. Since 2006, SOGL has united public and private partners to protect and restore the Great Lakes ecosystem—investing over $128 million across 496 grants and generating a total conservation impact of more than $283 million. CRA’s work has reconnected more than 2,560 miles of streams for fish and aquatic organisms, strengthening habitats across the region. This film showcases the partnerships and investments driving lasting change for one of the world’s most vital freshwater resources.
