Each gathering highlights local River Care projects—both ongoing and recently completed—while celebrating the supporters\, partners\, and community members who make this work possible. \nEach Confluence event will offer a slightly different experience\, reflecting the unique projects and communities in each region. Additional dates and locations will be announced soon. We hope you’ll join us for our first event in Ludington\, Michigan! \nJoin us on Wednesday\, April 15 from 5:00–7:00 PM at Ludington Bay Brewing Company for a relaxed evening connecting with fellow supporters and learning more about CRA’s work in your area. \nThe Confluence: Ludington will spotlight projects along the Pere Marquette River\, including updates on the Baldwin Dam Removal Project. A brief project presentation will begin at 6:00 PM. \nEnjoy appetizers and your first drink on us while we share a brief update on how your support is helping restore and protect our rivers. Stick around for door prize drawings—we’ve lined up a few fun giveaways as a small thank you for all you do to care for and champion these places. \nWhether you’ve been involved with CRA for years or are just getting to know our work\, we’d love to see you there. \nSpace is limited and registration is required.Spots will be filled on a first-come\, first-served basis. \nPlease RSVP by April 6\, 2026: \n			\n				RSVP HERE

SUMMARY:Guided Birding Walk at the Boardman River
DESCRIPTION:Join us on the morning of Friday\, May 8\, from 9–11 AM at the Brown Bridge Quiet Area Canoe Launch for a guided birding walk led by CRA’s Executive Director\, Suzie Knoll. Whether you’re an experienced birder or simply curious about our feathered friends\, this walk is welcoming to all skill levels. \nLocated along the Boardman-Ottaway River\, this area was once submerged beneath a 191-acre impoundment for decades. In 2012\, the Brown Bridge Dam was removed through a collaborative restoration effort led by CRA and project partners\, allowing the river and surrounding landscape to return to a more natural state. \nToday\, the site is managed by the Grand Traverse Conservation District and has become a thriving habitat\, rich with plant\, aquatic\, and bird life. Join us to experience this remarkable transformation firsthand. \nEnjoy complimentary coffee and cookies\, generously provided by Mundos Roasting & Co. \nThis event is free\, but registration is required below. \n			\n				RSVP HERE
