Pere Marquette River HomeWaters: Volunteers Needed May 15 & 16

Join us and help restore native tree populations along the Pere Marquette River. The Conservation Resource Alliance is working with the Huron-Manistee National Forests to plant native tree species where non-native Black Locust have been previously planted. To complete this project we are looking for volunteers who have the ability to paddle into planting locations and work in un-even terrain and steep banks adjacent to the river. Volunteers must provide their own transportation to the launch site. A limited amount of canoes/kayaks are available - please let us know if you can bring your own.

May 15 & 16 (volunteers can choose one or both days)
Time: 9am-3pm
Start Location: Upper Branch Bridge (USFS Fee Area)
End Location: Lower Branch Bridge (Limited Parking)

Please contact Paul Kogelschatz to register or for more information.

Thank you!
